Surf Koat – 2500 LV – UV (Cure & Seal) 5-Gal
Surf Koat 2500 L.V. UV is a UV resistant, low viscosity 25% solids solvent based styrene acrylic copolymer curing and sealing compound, as well as a dust-proofer for concrete surfaces. 2500 L.V. UV offers improved resistance to rain, the sun, freezing temperatures, stains, and other pollutants that sometimes can be hazardous to concrete. Surf Koat 2500 LV – UV is a thin liquid designed to penetrate into the pores of the concrete filling them with acrylic copolymer resin that gives the concrete surface the maximum protection from wear and penetration of salts, dirt, or other contaminants. 2500 LV-UV is non-yellowing and meets ASTM C-309 specifications for Cure & Seals. Surf Koat 2500 LV – UV may also be used as a curing compound when applied to fresh concrete. The film forming qualities of this product minimize moisture vapor transmission resulting in excellent water retention in fresh concrete for better curing and hardening. When used on new concrete it acts as a curing compound for proper cement hydration (one coat only). When used on old concrete it seals and dustproofs the surface (two coats are recommended for most surfaces). The high quality film-forming properties of Surf Koat 2500 LV – UV Cure & Seal make it an ideal product for use on all types of exterior flooring, walls, pavements, and parking decks. It’s low viscosity, UV resistance and easy spraying characteristics make this a contractor favorite.

- Roller or Pump Up Sprayer Application
Concrete surface must be clean and free of all contaminants and water. Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours. If moisture is present or if the surface is not clean and free of all contaminants, the sealer may have white spots and have premature delamination and failure. May be applied when damp (not wet) to freshly placed concrete surfaces as a cure & seal. Horizontal surfaces must be finished and show no “sheen” from bleed water.
2500 LV-UV may be applied using a roller or industrial concrete sprayer. Use a medium nap roller for textured surfaces and a short nap roller for smooth surfaces. The Standard VOC version may be sprayed with either the Hudson 91004 CCV Sprayer or Hudson 91704 Stainless Steel Sprayer. Do not allow to the sealer to Puddle! Thick or puddled areas may prevent the solvent from evaporating and may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which may cause milky white spots. Applying too thin may cause sealer to prematurely delaminate, flake or wear away. Allow sealer to dry for 24 hours for light traffic and at least 48 hours for heavy traffic. If applying two coats, wait approximately 4 – 6 hours between coats. Do not thin product.
Make sure all sprinklers are turned off for a 24 hour period of time. Apply 2500 LV-UV only if rain is not expected for at least 24 hours. Do not apply 2500 LV-UV if surface temperature is below 40° F., or above 80° F. If possible always apply as concrete is cooling, rather than as concrete is warming. Warming by the sun causes the air inside the concrete to expand and push out through the surface, often causing bubbles in the still wet sealer.
CLEAN UP: Clean up tools with Xylene or Mineral Spirits.
Coverage Rates: Coverage rates are approximate and will vary.
Freshly placed concrete: 250-350 sq. ft. / gallon
